Satechi has unveiled a new security conscious SATA external hard
drive enclosure in the form of its Satechi Lockdown, that protects your
data using a touchpad security system. The Satechi Lockdown offers
powerful real-time hardware encryption in a compact, portable design
that provides USB 3.0 connectivity and is equipped with a capacitance
touch keypad and OLED screen.
Access to the drive is provided using the touchpad by entering a 4-8
digit password , that without makes it impossible to read or decode any
data on the HDD even if it is connected to a computer system.
